The Green-GO digital intercom is based on a 100 Mbit Ethernet network with Power over Ethernet. Green-GO has many of the features of more complex and expensive ‘matrix’ communications systems – it is an intercom, cue light, show relay and text messaging system all in one – and it is expandable from 2 users to over 3000, just by adding outstations to the network.

Each device has an identical intercom software engine. This engine has 32 channels, a program audio channel (e.g. for show relay), an emergency channel, an announce channel and an extra channel to receive direct user communication. So even a 4-channel beltpack has 35 accessible channels to work with, plus the program audio; the 4-channel description in the case of the beltpack refers to the four direct-connection selection buttons on the outstation.
